Technical Theatre Department

The Technical Theatre Department comes with a wide range of responsibilities. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, and our technical theatre students learn what it is like to participate in all aspects of the trade. Anywhere from TV/Film production, Lighting, Stagecraft, Costume Design to Make-up and more.

Interested in Our Technical Theatre Department?

If you are interested in attending OCSA and our Technical Theatre Department, please be prepared to submit one or more of the following:

• Portfolio to include samples of works such as drawings, photographs, or written descriptions of environments for productions (concerts, plays, videos, etc.)
• Small samples of something built
• VHS or DVD video of 2 minutes or less that illustrates individual's skill and interest
• Power Point presentation that shows your ability to organize and present your ideas

Audition

Applicants will have an interview with a faculty member. All samples will be evaluated based on student's age, grade, and experience level.
